Net-Tune
What is Net-Tune?
Net-Tune is short for Internet-Tuning. Net-Tune is essentially tuning the Evo/STI/WRX by emailing us your datalogs and stock rom. We do the modification to the stock rom and email it back to the customer. This requires the customer to have ecuflash, evoscan, and the datalog cable. All can be purchased through our site here.
Why Tune?
A stock EVO/WRX/STI comes from the factory with rich fuel tables and aggresive timing. What RD TECH does is to correct the tune for the gas that you are running ( 91,93,100octane etc) Knock is very important in tuning and is should always be minimized. If you live in California, you'll notice that only 91 is available. The EVO itselfs was released to the market tuned for 93 octane. It is very important to retune the car to the specific type of fuel it's running. Knock, timing, fuel, and boost are some parameters that we monitor/change to meet the customers needs.

Whats needed?
We will need the customer to datalog the current tune of their car. It is suggested to make a backup copy of the current ECU rom so that the immobilizer can be transferred into the new rom and to have a stock rom.
The customer will need a log of 3 back to back 3rd gear pulls with the essential sensors logged. When logging, a 2500 RPM to redline needs to be logged. Hold your rpm at 2500rpm in third gear for 3 seconds, then floor the gas pedal(100% throttle) and hold it to redline. This log needs to be sent to sales@rdtech-online.com along with your current rom.

If the current setup is far beyond stock, ie larger injectors, turbos, different type of fuel, please email us your current rom first so we can send you a modified map to get you started on data logging.
Special Note:
The car should be in optimal driving condition. There should be no fluid or boost leaks. There should be no check engine light (unless it's something we can disable that does not affect the tune). The correct spark plug should be used. Compression should still be in stock specs.
