Tuning is essential to any setup stock or modified. Why? Well in stock form, the Evo's run fairly rich. Mitsubishi decided to richen it up so that the engine can run cooler. The other factor is that the tune from the factory as meant to run on 93 octane. This is why a tune is needed. Owners in California and other parts of the country is only offered 91 octane and thus knock is noticed up to 10 counts. A stock car will gain horse power when the air fuel ratio is leaned a bit(into the 11 a/f ratio vs the 9 a/f ratio) to gain its full potential while being tuned for safety. Knock is also monitored and reduced where it exceeds 2 counts. We fully adjust your parameters to ensure a reliable drive and maximum performance.
